Fingerland Department of Pathology
The biobank of the Fingerland Department of Pathology, Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove started its activities in 2011, when it joined the Czech national biobank node within the BBMRI.cz project, which is integrated into the BBMRI-ERIC pan-European biobank network. Since then, the biobank has been continuously developing its cooperation with other departments of the Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove and the University Hospital Hradec Kralove, thus expanding the range of samples collected and services offered.

In the biobank of the Fingerland Department of Pathology, Charles University Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Kralove are stored samples of breast cancer, colon cancer, head and neck cancer, ovarian cancer, lung cancer and brain tumors.
Our collections include the following materials:
cryopreserved tumor tissue samples for DNA analysis, cryopreserved tumor tissue samples for RNA analysis, paraffin blocks of formalin-fixed tumor tissue (FFPE).
We offer the following services: 1. provision of cryopreserved tumor tissue samples, 2. provision of formalin-fixed tumor tissue samples, 3. cooperation in biomedical research.
