Biobank IHBT Prague
The Biobank IHBT Prague is a research infrastructure, which mission is to collect the samples of patients with haematological disorders as well as samples from healthy donors. The Biobank IHBT Prague is comprised of the Department of central evidence and sample processing and the biobank itself. The samples are processed in the Department of central evidence and sample processing for biobanking department according to the type of biological material and diagnosis. Stored samples are intended for the projects approved by the Expert board of the Biobank IHBT Prague. The biobank is equipped with two automated storage systems ASKION C-line® Hermetic Storage allowing to store samples in the cryogenic temperatures at down to -185°C. For sample processing and freezing serves the ASKION C-line® work bench.
The vision of the Biobank IHBT Prague is to automatize the workflow of sample processing and also to upgrade digital integration of clinical and laboratory data of the samples. Thanks to highly effective tools, the samples could be filtered based on the required parameters of the project.
